So you are watching your food
The life of a mat depends on your care. Make a habit of vacuuming your carpet at least once a week and hang it out for some time a year.
- You should avoid shaking or whipping your carpet, as there is a risk that edge sewing and fringe release from it.
- If you have a rubberized mat, never hang it with the latex side facing the sun.
- To avoid rising edges, a rubberized mat must always be rolled with the straight side outwards.
- Make sure the floor is completely dry when you put on the carpet, otherwise there is a risk that the latex side will stick to the floor.
- Do not worry if your new wool mat raises a lot in the beginning. They often do it in the first place.
- Always find out what material the carpet is made of. Then it is easier to choose the right spot remover.
- Always try the stain remover on an exposed part of the carpet to see if the carpet is resistant to the device.
- Use a weaker solution more often than one too strong solution right away.
- Never rub when attempting to remove a stain. You only risk that the stain spreads.
- Brush up the dirt pad where the stain has been sitting while the mat is still moist. Then it will get back to its shape.
- Have a simple patch at home. At the pharmacy or in the color trade you can buy T-alcohol, gasoline, nitrous oxide and ammonia. Lemon and acetic acid is available in most food stores.
How to make ammonia solution: Mix 1 dl of lukewarm water with 1 tablespoon of soap and a few drops of ammonia.
Stains of berries and fruit can also be solved with a mixture of 1 tablespoon citric acid and 2 tablespoons hot water.
IMPORTANT TO COMPLETE CLEANING CLEANING
Leave cleaning of the following carpets to one skilled in the art: Hand-knotted carpets, Indian cotton mats and needle felt mats.
Never use ammonia on wool mats. Remove small stains with lukewarm water. Never use ammonia on carpets with printed patterns without first testing in a tucked place on the carpet if the pressure is color resistant.
Some stains that are dissolved by stain removers spread easily across a larger surface of the carpet. This applies, for example, to spots from bullet pens. Instead, consider cutting away a little mattress.
EDGE REPAIR
Most of our stores offer sewing on new mattresses. In cases where laundry is up to date, it should be done before the carpet is submitted for edging, it also helps most of our stores.
